Fancy something a bit different for your hen do? Movement in Thyme could have just what you’re looking for. “We create personalised hen-party experiences in the beautiful Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, as well as Oban, Stirling, Glasgow and Edinburgh,” shares owner Rox Madeira.

“Our experiences include making your own body-care products, bushcraft, foraging, wild cooking, wild crafting, forest bathing, bespoke yoga sessions, cocoa ceremonies, and more.”

​You can choose to get your squad on board for a workshop, have them take part in a mini retreat (which lasts three hours) or you can get everyone involved in a whole day of nature connection and wellbeing.

Wedding planning is a stressful time, so why not take time out with your inner circle to make your own botanical skincare to help achieve that dreamy bridal glow, or create your own personal tea blend? ​Massages, facials, yoga and cocao ceremonies, forest bathing and mindful walks are also offered, and are a surefire way to unwind before the big day.

Rox added: “We are a female run and operated organisation, which has been operating for a year. All the money raised from our work goes back into workshops and a community apothecary for marginalized communities across Central Scotland. So by booking your hen party with us you are directly helping someone else to receive a similar experience.”

The business began following the pandemic, as Rox noticed people needing to get back in contact with nature and to develop a love for it, as well as having control over their own health and wellbeing. “The last few years have been difficult for everyone and we really want to create beautiful, thoughtful and exciting experiences,” she added.

“We think the range of nature based zen-hen activities we offer is unique and we operate in some beautiful countryside areas but can also develop a nature based hen party in the city.”
