Short wedding dresses
Whether you're making it official at a registry office, you're getting married somewhere warm or you're looking for a second dress for the reception, many brides have been gravitating towards chic short wedding dresses.

Basque waist wedding dresses
We're seeing a lot of dropped waistlines in 2025 fashion as well as in the wedding industry. In particular a basque waist with its distinctive V shape is proving popular this year.
Mixing period drama and a fashionable modern twist, this silhouette is flattering and feminine.

Black bridesmaid dresses
Having your bridal party in black makes for elegant and classy photos. Black satin one-shouldered gowns have been particularly popular in recent weddings.

Wearing two wedding dresses
Influenced by celebrity weddings which have seen numerous costume changes from famous brides, the two-wedding-looks trend is here to stay by the looks of it. Many brides are now opting to have two wedding dresses on the day or have a dress with detachable elements to completely change its look for the evening.

Bridal beauty in 2025
Wearing two wedding hairstyles
Not only are brides switching up what they're wearing as they go from ceremony to reception, some are also changing their hairstyle for a total transformation. With the help of their hairstylist, up dos change to glam waves, accessories are added or removed and some brides even brave a chop!
Glowy skin
Following the clean girl aesthetic that has seen a rise in 'no makeup' makeup with a focus on dewy skin, neutral colours and slick back buns, brides are still opting for a a fresh, natural wedding day look.
This means investing in a skincare routine to hydrate the skin, using lightweight foundations, and soft shimmery products, for a lit from within appearance.
Soft glam eyemakeup
Bridal makeup this year will see eyeshadow in muted tones and neutral shades used to create definition on the eye without overpowering the overall makeup look.

Bold lip colours
To contrast the natural base and eyes, 2025 will see more brides gravitate towards a bold lip, particularly in berry shades.

Groomswear trends for 2025
In 2025, grooms will be leaning into accessories more, particularly adding personalisations. Why not add your wedding date or initials onto your cufflinks, tie bar, watch or embroidered into the cuff of your sleeve or inside your jacket?
This accessories trend can also mean adding some colour into your look with a buttonhole, pocket square, your choice of socks, tie or bowtie.

Content creators
Not only can you have your wedding captured by a photographer and videographer, but there is now a huge market for wedding content creators.
Offering a selection of curated videos made with Instagram and TikTok in mind, content creators (like ur bts bestie below) promise a turn around time of 24 hours for some of the footage, allowing you to relive your wedding day straight away.
Black and white wedding photos
Black and white wedding photos are all over our Instagram, from sweet first looks to tearing up the dance floor, black and white editing adds a timeless, romanticised element to any photo.

Film photography
From bringing digital cameras on nights out to posing for a polaroid at brunch, we are well and truly enjoying a reprieve from our phone cameras. And it doesn't end there, some photographers now offer film photography for weddings.

Candid photography and videography
Yes, there will be a few perfectly posed moments on your wedding day. But for the most part couples are looking for photographers and videographers who skillfully blend into the background. Allowing the couple and their guests to act naturally and enjoy their day, safe in the knowledge that it's all being documented.

Twilight weddings
More and more venues are catering to couples' desire for later ceremonies. Taking place from evening til late, twilight weddings (no relation to the vampire franchise) take place over a shorter period of time so they work out cheaper than a full day celebration.

Small and intimate weddings
As we all know Covid changed everything and weddings were hit hard. But being forced to scale back wedding guest lists to minimal levels has shown that you actually don't need a 200-person celebration.
Micro weddings were on the rise in 2024 and show no signs of stopping, with couples enjoying all the fun of a regular do, just on smaller scale.
Sustainable weddings
Many people are working towards a more sustainable way of living, so its no doubt that there's demand for sustainable weddings too.
Some people plan their day with an eco-focus, using local suppliers and produce, buying things second-hand, and trying to minimise waste.

Heart shaped wedding cakes
More and more couples are opting for stylish heart-shaped lambeth cakes. Gone are the traditional couple figurines, replaced by cursive or stylised lettering spelling out something snappy like 'Just Married' or 'Married AF'.

Bud vases
When it comes to aisle and table decor, there's been a shift from large floral displays to smaller spread out flowers.
A selection of bud vases in different sizes and shapes adds a nice dimension to your ceremony decor and tablescapes, especially for long tables.

Unexpected red
The 'unexpected red theory', which says that adding a pop of red to a space makes everything look better no matter the colour scheme, has been making its way through TikTok, and encouraging people to bring a touch of crimson into their makeup, outfits, home decor and more.
The same can be applied to weddings, whether its a red lip, red font on signage or a scattering of red flowers in the table decor.

Sten dos
Combining the hen do and the stag do into one big celebration with all of your friends, the aptly named sten do is on the rise.
Activity hen dos
We all love a relaxing spa day, and nights out have their place in hen do history, but today's brides to be are seeking out activities to do with their bride tribe.
From creative activities like pottery painting to a fun cocktail masterclass or outdoor activities for those seeking an adrenaline thrill, there are plenty of hen do activities to choose from that are a bit different from the typical night on the town.
