Steeped in Scottish history, Fingask Castle will transport you back in time for the most special day of your life. In this jaw dropping venue, you can experience your fairytale wedding amongst its wild and wonderful gardens, incredible 16th century features and panoramic views across the Carse of Gowrie, over the River Tay and beyond to the Kingdom of Fife.

Magnificent grounds

The gardens at Fingask Castle are one of Scotland’s wonders – a surrealist garden made with traditional features: topiary, statues, stone geometry. There are literary and historical characters such as Alice in Wonderland and Rabbie Burns scattered throughout the pleasure gardens, making for a truly unique and beautiful backdrop for your wedding photographs.

There are several lawns to choose from for your wedding, but in the owner’s view the best is Ossian’s lawn. This surreal triangular lawn features a bank and hedge down one side, so when the bride approaches, she appears gradually, adding dramatic effect to each ceremony. After the ceremony, the bridal party can proceed to the fountain courtyard by the castle for their drinks reception. Unlike many other venues couples don’t have to make up their mind about their outside ceremony until the morning of their wedding day – let the weather decide.

Rich in Scottish history

If you do decide on an indoor ceremony, the castle itself is ideal for weddings of up to 110 people within the Long Gallery – regarded as one of the prettiest rooms in Scotland – and a drinks reception downstairs in The Drawing Room and Old Library. The flexible modern structure of the Pavilion allows for larger guest lists. The Grand Hall can comfortably accommodate 150 day guests for ceremonies and dining, with room for an additional 30 evening guests to join for dancing and celebrating into the wee small hours. With an extension added to the Pavilion it will allow for up to 250 people dining and dancing.

The three rooms in the bridal suite allow for three couples to stay overnight. You can rest your head on an original, 19th century four-poster bed and admire the impressive collection of original artwork and furniture that have been collected over the centuries. Guest accommodation is available on-site, with the stunning Fingask Cottages sleeping up to 70 people.
