Opus Couture in West Kilbride recently celebrated the beauty and elegance of real brides in a stunning in-house photoshoot, perfectly showcasing their bridal boutique.
Real brides at Opus Couture
For this special project, they collaborated with three of their beautiful past brides, as well as future bride Kirsten Cameron, bringing their bridal dreams to life once again.
The shoot was made all the more memorable by a talented team of professionals: hair styling was expertly handled by the brilliant Pamela Docherty, makeup artistry by Stephanie McDowell and Stacey Toner, and photography flawlessly captured by Donna McGowan.
As a past bride of Opus Couture herself, Donna truly understood their vision, bringing a unique and personal perspective to the shoot.

Each dress was tastefully complemented by an array of custom-made earrings by Sophie Smith, owner of Gemini Clay Studio. With a true passion for its craft, Gemini Clay Studio specialises in making handmade, bespoke accessories that complement any wedding dress or style and reflect a bride’s personality.
Together, they created a timeless collection of bridal imagery that embodies the sophistication and magic of Opus Couture.
“This photoshoot was more than just a celebration of bridal beauty; it was a reflection of what we do best – helping brides shine on their special day. Our boutique is not just a store; it’s a place where memories are made and bridal visions come to life,” says Susan Lightbody, manager of Opus Couture.

Who is Opus Couture?
Opus Couture is a bridal boutique in the village of West Kilbride, Ayrshire, that first opened its doors in 2003.
It sells wedding dresses from a whole range of desirable labels such as Pronovias, Wona Concept, Enzoani, Blue by Enzoani and Maggie Sottero. It is also the exclusive Scottish stockist of iconic and coveted wedding dress brand, Berta Bridal, and carries its own in-house-designed line, Opus Studio.

The prize is subject to availability and must be redeemed by 1st December 2025. By entering, you agree to use your data for marketing and sharing it with the involved parties. Entry implies acceptance of these terms. General terms and conditions: Prize is not transferable or refundable. There is no cash equivalent. The winner must be 18 or over. All details correct at time of publication. Travel is not included. The prize has no cash alternative, is non-refundable, non-exchangeable and non-transferable. Opus Couture terms and conditions: Open to new customers of Opus Couture only that are over the age of 18. It cannot be won by a current customer and used against an existing order. The prize is for a dress up to the value of £1,100 at Opus Couture. If the value of the dress is under £1,100, there will be no money back or refund offered against the difference of the value of the prize. If the value of the dress is over £1,100, the balance must be paid by the winner. The prize does not include charges related to fittings and alterations – these must be arranged separately with costs covered by the winner. The prize cannot be redeemed against accessories. Winner must arrange their own travel to Opus Couture. The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, with no cash alternative. Additional terms may apply.
Gemini Clay Studio terms and conditions: Open to new customers of Gemini Clay Studio only, who are aged 18 or over. Current customers are not eligible to win, nor can the prize be used against an existing order. The prize includes two pairs of bridal earrings (one for day/one for night) and up to three bridesmaid earrings, with each item worth up to £80, and a total prize value of £400. If the total value of the selected items exceeds £400, the winner must pay any additional costs. No money or refund will be offered if the total value of the selected items is under £400. The prize is non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for any alternative product or service. Winner must consent to their email address being shared with Gemini Clay Studios in order to claim prize. Gemini Clay Studio reserves the right to apply additional terms and conditions as necessary.
