This zesty spring wedding shoot by Sophie Alexandria Photography and Social Brides Club at Dundas Castle is packed with citrus hues, fresh florals, and stylish details

Real-life couple Erik and Beatriz brought some zest to this citrus-infused styled shoot at Dundas Castle, organised by Aberdeenshire photographer Sophie Alexandria and wedding content creator Lauren Prichard, aka Social Brides Club.

“Our theme embraced spring and trending citrus tones, bringing a fresh and contemporary feel to the historic venue,” says Lauren.

Lemon-coloured wedding details

Lauren and Sophie enlisted a team of talented creatives to bring their vision to life.

Ange at Fauna Flower Folk played a key role in the styling and floral design, crafting sculptural arrangements in lime green and lemon yellow.

The tablescape was a feast for the senses, with fresh fruit, tulle bows, and lemon-themed place cards sitting alongside the eye-catching blooms.

The bouquet combined anthuriums and poppies with hints of yellow for a unique and modern feel.

Styling the castle for a wedding

While Dundas Castle’s grand setting is steeped in history, the creative team introduced modern elements to keep the aesthetic fresh and current. For even more grandeur, check out some of the best castle wedding venues in Scotland.

Playful citrus details and contemporary floral arrangements balanced the venue’s timeless charm, proving that a heritage location can still feel modern and trend-forward.

A cake by Ruby and Pearl Cake Art embraced the fruity theme, adorned with grapes and lemons for an organic and romantic look.

Unique wedding idea for 'something blue'

And amid all the sunny yellows and cheerful oranges, there was still room for ‘something blue’: a dinky 1991 Nissan Figaro.

“It was the cutest and resulted in memorable images,” smiles Lauren.

Spring wedding styles

Beatriz wore a breathtaking Suzanne Neville lace gown paired with Chanel pearl earrings, before changing into a dazzling Milla Nova sequin gown – both sourced from Perfect Bridal Rooms in Aberdeen.

Erik opted for a classic black tuxedo with an oversized bow tie, later swapping his jacket for a stylish velvet blazer from Next.
